Newtown Creek CSO Pursuit (NCP)

Brand development and bid design for a joint venture pursuit, creating interactive bid documents that combined clear navigation, refined visual storytelling and a distinctive colour palette to support a successful submission.

Graphic Design, Branding, Editorial Design

The Newtown Creek CSO Pursuit was a major joint venture bid between EPC, AECOM and Parsons to deliver a complex combined sewer overflow project. The pursuit required a clear and confident visual identity that could unify three organisations while communicating environmental responsibility and technical credibility.

I developed the joint venture brand, Newtown Creek CSO Partners (NCP), creating a bespoke typographic treatment where the letter ‘C’ integrated a water droplet and an overflow catchment form, directly referencing the project’s purpose. I explored several colour directions before refining a distinctive palette of dark blue, emerald green and lilac, striking a balance between professionalism and approachability.

The identity was applied across three interactive PDF bid documents. These used clear hierarchy, intuitive navigation, embedded links and roll-over content to guide readers through complex information and enhance storytelling. The bid was ultimately successful and received strong client feedback, particularly praising the clarity, structure and usability of the documents.
